On Monday, 12th September 2016, Dr. Caitlin Burns presented at the Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) workshop on “Waste valorization of intensive horticulture: a business opportunity for companies bio-based” in the University of Seville which had more than 30 attendees.

The workshop was part of the Superbio European project, an initiative funded by Horizon 2020 (H2020) program with 10 partners from 6 European countries, of which CTA is the only Spanish member. The project, worth 3.8 million euros, aims to develop innovative value chains in bioeconomy, which involves the whole European industrial community related to the so-called “bio-based economy” (bioeconomy). The consortium includes four industrial clusters (from Belgium, France, Spain and Poland) and six service providers (UK, Germany and Belgium).
